When I was 15 years old, I traded a crate of beer for a Jawa 350 Oilmaster that belonged to a old man. He couldn't ride the bike anymore because his body let him down.  Took the bike home, made it running again, stripped all unnecessary parts of it (seemed like a good idea at that time....) and started to do some motocross on it in the dunes in my hometown. But without knobby tires....that wasn't succesful, to say the least.

But, the seed was planted and the motorcycle virus never went away anymore.

Since then, I've owned, wrenched and rode a lot of bikes.  From a Honda CB500 Four, Suzuki GS750 (the first bike I started to tune for more power) a GS1000, a Laverda 1000 3 cylinder, an old Harley Davidson Liberator, a Suzuki GS(X) 1150 Drag-bike with Nitrous and now a homemade Trackday weapon powered by a Suzuki RF 900 engine (see the TESTARDO on this site)

In the meantime, other guys asked me to tune their bikes and a business was born, so since 1988 I'm a selve employed mechanic.

I've seen, rode and tweaked a lot of bikes. From a simple maintanance job to building complete one-off specials (normally aspirated and turbo-charged) and even helped developing a hub-centre steered motorcycle, which tought me a lot about suspension and handling. I will tell you about that in another (tech) article.

So, you can see, that there's a wealth of knowledge available and no job is too big or too small to handle.

I hope you enjoy this site and if you have any questions or requests, please contact me or stop by for a coffee and a chat.
